Ohh Dear where did the time go?

Wow, so long between posts. Where did the time go?? Well, my hands have not been idle. I have been creating. I have made these lovely shawls

This one is made from Milan Yarn - absolutely beautiful! It is a square set shawl which means it can be used as a scarf, a wrap or a shawl.

This is my personal favourite, Bella Yarn, just equisite, once again a square set shawl.

I've also been playing with Bridal Ring Cushions in crochet, found this great pattern and whipped it up.

I have also re packaged my Survival Kits!

And I have done alot of other things that at the moment I do not have photos of. But anyway I have been busy. We moved into our new home in July and I have a fantastic craft room. My laundry is absolutely huge - so this is where my craft lives!! I work full time in a craft store - yes, I know, dream come true. It has it's moments. But even more so now I am chasing my dream of being a designer. So many ideas - so little time!!

Never mind, Step 1 - don't leave it so long between posts!! I'll be back soon - I promise!!

Ladybug and Flowers Quilt

I have a story for everything don't I. That's what makes it so much fun. I had all this bright colourful fabric, which is really unusual for me because I'm normally a pastel or country kind of gal. Anyway it caught my eye and I bought it, over time, some was given to me. I wondered what to do with it. I was going to make some cushions for Dreams and Traditions with the flowers (our logo had a flower on it) so I had them cut out but then of course it all changed. I looked and looked at them, I hate wasting things so then I thought what about a quilt. The flowers looked pretty boring by themselves so I added some leaves and ladybugs and Viola!! the quilt was born. Not really sure what I'll do with it now, I might save it for my first grandchild!! I'm starting to get more confident with my machine now and Quilt in the Ditch is just so easy, the speed of the machine is so easy to regulate! I might give stippling a go soon.

Enjoy

The Moo Mat

I know I'm just a little bit odd! But I love cows. I have cows everywhere, and I figured that I could have them in the loo too! So I made a toilet mat with a cow on it!! It's a bit of fun! Now I'm thinking a series would be good. The Oink Mat! The Baa Mat! (Ha, Ha!) or just for my hubby The Hiss Mat (his love is reptiles)

Enjoy

The Quote Quilt

The Quote Quilt is very dear to my heart as I made it for my son. He has always had a drive and passion to succeed. Not a bad thing. He wants to be rich and successful. He has big dreams but it never ceases to amaze me how firmly his feet are planted on the ground. He has quotes on bits of paper all over his room so I made him this quilt so he could have his quotes and his long suffering girlfriend could have some semblance of sanity (post it notes are not a decoration or wall covering) I've only just finished it and it is currently awaiting postage to him. I hope he likes it!

Dreams Cushion and Wall Hanging

Whilst I was working/helping out at a card making party plan place called 'Dreams and Traditons' I started making this wall hanging and bolster cushion to brighten up the place. Unfortunately my time there ended before I managed to finish the projects. The quote on the wall hanging was what we used as our Motto! It was a fascinating time and I learnt heaps whilst I was there. Dianne was a wonderful creative person and it was certainly a positive experience for me.

Textured Rainbow Poncho

I was working in a craft shop when this poncho came about, some new yarn from Shepherd came in. The first border is done in Pipkin, the 8ply is Colour For Me. The other specialty yarns are mixed, some Sullivans, Patons Feathers. It was a display piece for the yarn. I don't think the photo does it much justice. The sizing was 2-4, 6-8, 10-12.
